Wow 2019 has been a blur...!
Sorry we've not blogged for a little while. We want to keep our blog posts regular, informative and relevant, however, our primary work (selling and letting property) has to take priority and this year we've barely had time to breathe, let alone blog. I always say to the team you can't moan for being busy and boy have we been busy...!
Autumn is well upon us and as the year heads into the twilight phase we now have a bit of time to step back and take stock of all that's happened this year at Newquay Property Centre and also in the housing market generally.
However, first we are really excited to be Poppy vendors again this year in support of The Royal British Legion and the Poppy Appeal. Little known fact: NPC Director Daniel left college straight for the Royal Air Force and spent 6 years serving both home and abroad. The Poppy Appeal has always held a special place in his heart and as such we've always proudly played our part as Poppy vendors each year. This year is no exception, but we've decided to do a bit more... Whatever is the final total of monies raised from our office Poppy Appeal Newquay Property Centre will donate a matching contribution. So please pop in and buy your Poppy.
Halloween is fast approaching; we'll be out trick or treating with our children and each year it seems to get busier and busier, this year Newquay Bid organised a fantastic Zombie Crawl through the streets of Newquay, it was superbly supported and grows from strength to strength. Keep up the good work Newquay Bid, what a wonderful community group you are – Thank you!
If there's one question we always get asked in passing, it's "How's the market?" or "What do you think will happen to the market after Brexit?" We can only speak from our own experiences and we are acutely aware that what is happening locally in London, Manchester or wherever can be completely different to what is happening locally in Cornwall or Newquay etc. etc. One thing that I am always keen to point out when discussing this topic is Cornwall is a special place and that’s why we all choose to live here. Cornwall is not a finance driven economy, Cornwall is surrounded by stunning coastline and buyers flock from all over the country and on occasion world to buy and live here. Newquay takes full advantage of this, with (depending on how and what you count) 11 beaches, a thriving tourism economy, great schools and excellent transport links, Newquay really is in a great place right now. Brexit hasn’t touched the Newquay Market to date and we couldn’t be busier. Newquay’s property market continually outperforms UK trends. On our next blog towards the end of the year we’ll revisit this topic and maybe, just maybe we’ll know the answer to the question of Brexit.
Bye for now, please don’t forget to pop in and grab a Poppy.
